Postman- a new podcast on art and postdigital culture!
I have liked podcast for a long time; I have some podcast which I have been following for years and some, where an episode has given me new approaches or challenged my thoughts. All in all, I enjoy podcasts. For a while now I have been toying with an idea of starting a podcast of my own, a podcast that discusses art, culture, and society from a post-digital perspective. The reason to start such podcast is naturally that these topics interest me, both as an artist and as a researcher. But also, because I have not been able to find a podcast that would discuss such issues. There are some that briefly visit these topics, such as Guardians Chips with everything podcast https://www.theguardian.com/technology/series/chips-with-everything , RWM MACBA https://rwm.macba.cat/en/home/, Creative coding podcast (which seems to be on hiatus) http://creativecodingpodcast.com and some others. But none of them scratched my itch.
In this podcast, I aim to discuss the meaning of art making, be it code, electronics, or something else from a post-digital standpoint. Furthermore, I want to talk with other researchers in the field about how digitality affects us, as individual and society. So if some of these themes are of interest to you, have a listen. The first episode is out, and the next one will be released later this week!
